Longstreet Education and Career Outreach
LECO
The mission of LECO is to equip participants with tools to assist them with becoming positive productive contributors to the community and beyond.
Focus Scripture
God is not unjust; He will not forget you and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help Him. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
(Hebrews 6:10, Galatians 6:9 NIV).
Why was LECO established ?
Longstreet Church is in the heart of the transforming Whitehaven Community. To assist individuals in the community with job placement and secondary school pursuit, Longstreet Church applied for a grant. As a result, Longstreet Church received a “Churches Reaching Neighbors Grant” from the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church to assist the community with computer necessities and life skills training for middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults to help individuals apply and prepare for the workforce and secondary education.
